It took a while, but the luggage finally turned up so we showered and had dinner in the buffet restaurant Horizon which was somewhat underwhelming. We hadn’t got our vouchers yet for our wine package so just bought a bottle. Then straight to bed.
After not too bad a nights sleep Steve ran his usual chore and went to buy us coffee (ordinary coffee is included but it’s revolting so we buy Costa). We then went to the Oriental Restaurant for breakfast. There was a slight queue but it moved quickly. We’ve always had breakfast in Horizon, the buffet, before, so this was different. It’s waiter service with a slightly more interesting menu. In order to get a table quickly we agreed to share.
After breakfast I went to unpack (way too tired yesterday) and Steve went to sort out the internet package. We then spent the rest of the day chilling.
It was a black tie night so we got kitted up in our glad rags and joined the virtual queue for the Peninsular Restaurant. Once again this was different. Last year we had Club Dining which meant we had a fixed table and time for dinner and whilst we were exceedingly lucky with the people we shared our table with, we couldn’t imagine it would be the same this time. We also don’t like the fixed times - either 6.30 or 8.30. So we went for Freedom Dining which is in a different restaurant and you can choose your time. You can also choose whether you eat alone or join others. To get in more quickly we chose to share. The company was pleasant as was the food although it didn’t seem quite as good as Aurora last year.
After a quick drink in the Crow’s nest, it was off to bed.

Early morning mist covering the Pitons on St Lucia, we return later in the cruise to visit.
