After a restless night in Premier Inn we sailed through fast track straight into No1 lounge. A first for us but as we have 3 hours to wait we thought it would be worth it. We were not wrong, much more relaxed, nice food and drink and good view of the airport.
We flew Tui to Bridgetown Barbados.
The flight was as good as any 8 hour flight can be when you are stuck in cattle. Having read and seen a bit online we booked seats right at the back of the plane which did work well. We boarded first after premium and were served first with everything so it was a good idea. However we weren’t too impressed with the inflight entertainment. The latest releases included Bridget Jones Diary and Gladiator. But the flight passed and we disembarked directly o0nto the buses taking us to the ship. So no immigration or passport control which was brilliant. About 40 minutes in rather tired buses (reminded me slightly of the school bus on that trip from Atlanta - was it Atlanta? - to Florida, Leahs and Posnetts if you remember). But then very quickly through check in for the boat and off to our cabin. No suitcases yet but we’d packed swim gear and shorts and tee shirts. So straight to the pool to refresh followed by a beer - or two.

Wish I were there.
